What?

Our district has partnered with Amira Learning, an evidence-based, AI-powered platform that supports early literacy development and provides teachers with detailed insights into students' reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.

Who?

As required by California Education Code and approved by our school board, all K-2 students will participate in a state-compliant reading screener.

Why?

The screener identifies areas of risk to help tailor instruction and provide additional support. Teachers will use the results to personalize reading instruction and provide support where needed. We may follow up during the year if further intervention is recommended.
